The Vageeswari is an ultra-large format field camera produced in India during the late 20th century. The camera uses 8.5" x 15" sheet film. The Vageeswari has limited movements, with only front and rear tilt. This camera was designed primarily for large format landscape photography. It uses a 6.25" square lens board. Perhaps its most amazing feature is its ability to fold up to a mere 2.5 inches thick. Combined with its relative light weight (for its size) of 12 pounds, this camera is smaller and lighter than some briefcases! Of course, this doesn't take into account the film, lenses, film holders, tripod, etc...
This kit includes the Vageeswari camera, three lens boards (two with holes cut, one blank), five 8x.5x15 film holders and two boxes of Ilford FP4 8.5x15" ULF film (expiration March 2022, both unopened).
